Moms are still dying. We're done waiting.
The healthcare system is broken—but we’re building what works.

In 2025, Black mothers are still 3–4x more likely to die from childbirth complications than white mothers.
Let that sink in. This isn’t the past—it’s now.
And the providers who could change those outcomes?
![]() | The providers who can make a difference—doulas, lactation consultants, midwives, herbalists, mental health counselors—are often unrecognized by insurance, underpaid, and overlooked by our health system. Families in rural, Black, and Indigenous communities rely on culturally rooted care to survive childbirth, breastfeeding challenges, and postpartum depression. But most of these providers are forced to operate outside the system, because there’s no easy path to reimbursement. |
This Is Why I Built Swishvo
Swishvo is an AI-powered platform helping wellness providers—like doulas, prenatal chiropractors, music therapists, and other culturally rooted healers—build reimbursable, scalable businesses.
For too long, the providers who’ve kept our communities healthy have been excluded from the systems that reimburse care. We’re changing that.
By automating the hard parts—insurance, billing, and admin—we’re making it possible for holistic providers to focus on healing, not hustling.
Now, we’re inviting you to help grow this movement.
Because our communities deserve a system that sees them, supports them, and sustains them.

A True Story We Should Never Forget
“She had dedicated her life to preventing death—but the system couldn’t save her.”
Dr. Shalon Irving was a CDC epidemiologist with two Master’s degrees and a Ph.D.
She spent her life fighting health disparities.
But three weeks after giving birth, she developed severe high blood pressure.
She sought care again and again.
They didn’t listen.
She died at home.
She left behind her baby, Soleil.
She left behind a system that dismissed her pain—like it does for so many Black mothers.
Shalon’s story is not an exception.
It’s a consequence of a system that refuses to value our lives—or our providers.
Swishvo isn’t just a platform.
It’s a pathway to equity.
To recognition.
To survival.
We’ve already processed over $500,000 in claims through our beta product—and we’re just getting started. That means over 250 babies were born safely with their moms still alive and by their side today. | ![]() |
Now, we’re equity crowdfunding on Wefunder so that everyone—not just millionaires—can invest in the solution.
In just one week, moms, dads, and providers helped raise nearly $20,000.
Together, we’re building something powerful—and this time, we all have a stake.
